History & Governance

They shall proclaim His righteousness unto a people yet unborn – for He has done it!”
-Psalm 22:31

A History of God’s Faithfulness

Nearly 125 years ago, a small group of immigrants from the Netherlands started Sheboygan Christian elementary school. They had a vision for Christian education and trusted in the words of Psalm 22:31- that future generations- yet unborn!- would serve the Lord through this school for years into the future.

Through the founding of Sheboygan County Christian High School in the late ’60’s, the merging of the two sister schools in 2015, and a brand new state of the art unified P-12 campus in 2021, the future for SCS has never been brighter. Today, our school community is much bigger and much more diverse than our founding- but we are all spiritual descendants that our founders prayed for! We are honored that God is using us in this generation to continue the same world-changing mission that we’ve had since our founding.

SCS Parent-Governed Board of Trustees

A Parent-Governed School: It’s all about Partnership!

SCS is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of parents and supporters who are elected by fellow parents and school supporters. Today?s board shares the same vision established by our founders: our children will impact the world, both near and far, for Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is the ultimate source of truth for both faith and life and must be at the heart of all education.

Together through this Christian school/Christian home/Christian church partnership, every day we are actively raising up the next generation of Christian leaders who will impact the world both near and far for Jesus Christ!
