As a parent, you know that the preschool you choose for your child will set a foundation for their academic journey.
It’s a small window of time with momentous growth potential. Not only will your preschooler be developing pre-academic skills for future success in reading, writing, and math, they will be growing socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
At Sheboygan Christian School, we provide a safe, developmentally appropriate preschool program where students build a strong identity in Christ while cultivating key kindergarten readiness skills. Below, you’ll find an overview of what we offer, including:
Hands-On Learning for Children Ages 3-5
Preschool programs at Sheboygan Christian
We offer 3K for students who are 3 years old and 4K for students who are 4 years old (by September 1 of the academic year).
Both programs are led by caring teachers who are passionate about early education and utilize a hands-on, play-based approach to learning. Class sizes are kept small to allow for personalized attention and to foster a strong sense of community among our students.
Inside our preschool classrooms, you will find:
Engaging learning stations.
Preschool students enjoy a wide variety of sensory and tactile experiences to foster fine and gross motor skills.
Leveled small groups.
To ensure each child is met where they are, teachers utilize small group learning experiences to provide individualized attention.
Numerous safety features.
Our campus was built in 2021 with children’s safety as our No. 1 priority.
Extra learning support.
Each classroom has a teacher and assistant for a healthy 9:1 student-teacher ratio.
Preschool Schedule Options
Our half-day preschool programs offer morning and afternoon schedules. Students in our 3K program attend school three days a week, and 4K students move to a four-day schedule as they prepare for kindergarten.
Busy parents appreciate Sheboygan Christian School’s before- and after-school care available to preschool families. Our “Sonshine Room” provides students with extra learning and play in a safe and consistent environment from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. The cost is $5.50/hour.
My son looks forward to school each day. He is shown the love of Jesus every day in his preschool classroom.”

A Well-Rounded Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to help students develop problem-solving skills, grow in self-confidence, and express themselves creatively. While much learning happens through play, we emphasize key academic skills that equip students to become strong readers and writers:
God’s truth is woven into every subject and activity at Sheboygan Christian School. Preschoolers hear Bible stories, sing praise songs, pray with their classmates, and build a strong identity as a child of God. We are committed to hiring Bible-believing teachers who are role models of faith and helping students reach their God-given potential as learners, friends, and Jesus followers.
A Safe Environment
Sending your little one to school for the first time can be both exciting and overwhelming. We welcome your questions about campus safety!
Our full-time safety director coordinates regular training and drills to keep students physically safe, and our entire faculty is committed to safeguarding students’ social and emotional safety. We look forward to sharing more about our intentionally designed campus and safety measures that provide parents peace of mind.
MEET A TEACHER
“I love seeing the wonder of learning and the excitement of my students every day.
Whether it is reading a book with a surprising ending, learning new facts from a science unit, hearing a new Bible story or seeing them proud of their accomplishments, preschool is about so much more than learning letters and numbers.
Teaching has impacted my life in so many ways over the last 20 years, but it was not until I came to SCS that I felt the full impact of my teaching. Being able to teach in a Christian environment has brought me such joy, knowing that God has put me in this role to plant seeds for my students’ lifelong relationship with God. I love to wonder about the amazing futures that my preschoolers will have!”
