Church/School Activities you are or have been involved with: I was on the OCS board several years ago and served as an Elder in our church for a period of time.  I’m currently helping with our church youth group.  My wife is the volleyball coach at SCS so I help out behind the scenes with volleyball and other sports as needed.

What do you like most about SCS? My family has appreciated the Christ-centered education and spiritual growth we’ve seen in various Bible classes.  They have demonstrated support, prayer, and encouragement to our family in some difficult times.

Why did your family choose SCS over other schools? We believe that we should invest in our kids to hear, practice, and obey the Holy Scriptures at every opportunity we can. 

What do you think is the most important goal for SCS?  We need to maintain our Christ-Centered approach and stay true to the Word of God.  We cannot let cultural influences that contradict the Word of God allow us to drift away from that mission.

If you could do one thing to increase SCS’ visibility in the community, what would it be? I think we need to be different from the schools around us. Using our Christian platform, we have an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ in everything we do.  I think we can be more intentional about that in the community and as we represent the school in athletics and other extra curricular activities.

Why did you accept the nomination to serve our community on the School Board? I feel God has given me different gifts and talents that can be used to glorify Him through service on the Board.  If I can be of service to the school in this way, I’m happy to help.
