SCS Receives WIAA Award of Excellence for 2024-25

We’re honored to share that Sheboygan Christian School has been named a recipient of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association’s (WIAA) 2024-25 Award of Excellence– a first-time recognition for our school.

This award highlights schools that demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship, leadership, character, integrity, and administrative excellence across their athletic programs. SCS is one of just 39 high schools statewide- and one of only 11 first-time recipients- to receive this recognition.

To earn the Award of Excellence, schools must meet rigorous criteria including coach and athlete leadership development, community involvement, sportsmanship education, and administrative accountability. We’re proud to say that every member of our athletic community- students, coaches, parents, and administrators- played a part in achieving this honor.

“This award is a reflection of what happens when a school and its community commit to living our values out loud,” said Athletic Director Jason Klug. “We’re incredibly grateful for our students, coaches, and families who consistently represent Christ and our school with integrity, joy, and humility- both on and off the field.”

At SCS, athletics are about more than just competition- they’re about glorifying God through teamwork, discipline, and service. Whether cheering from the sidelines, leading team huddles, or volunteering in the community, our student-athletes and coaches strive to reflect Christ in all they do.

The WIAA will formally recognize recipients at district meetings this fall and feature them on the WIAA website, in State Tournament programs, and in future publications.

We thank God for this honor and for the opportunity to represent Him through athletics. To our SCS families and supporters: thank you for standing with us as we grow young leaders who play with purpose and lead with faith.
