We’re glad you’re here! Whether this is your family’s first year at Sheboygan Christian School or you’re welcoming another child to SCS, we are excited to partner with you in preparing students’ hearts and minds for service in God’s world. This page gathers everything you need between now and the first day of school so you can feel confident, connected, and ready.

We will keep communication simple and clear so you always know what’s next. Here’s what you can expect:
- Back to School Guide released in July
- SCS Weekly Update emails resume in August (Monday mornings @ 6am)
- Flyer Magazine mailings (3x each year, digital versions can be found here)
- Social media updates (follow us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube)
See below for what to expect regarding grade level communications throughout the year:
- 3k-5th Grade – Teachers will send out weekly communications via email or the Seesaw app (3k/4k). 3k/4k teachers will send details regarding how to sign up for Seesaw.
- 6th-8th Grade – Parents will receive the Middle School Memo via email on the second and fourth Tuesday each month.
- 9th-12th Grade – Students and parents will receive the High School Herald via email once per month.
Every student is known and supported at SCS. Our teachers and staff look forward to connecting with you and your child. Here are some ways you can begin making connections:
- Familiarize yourself with your child’s assigned teacher/s via our staff directory
- Join our SCS Parent Engagement Facebook group – this is for all SCS parents looking for engagement and community. It is a great resource and space to ask questions. Click Here to Join the SCS Parent Engagement FB Group
- Attend our community events! Check out our events calendar and make a point to engage with the school community. Before each of our community events, we will send you an invite and explain the event in further detail.
- Volunteer your time! What better way to connect than by serving together. Scroll down to the “Get Involved” section for more information.
- If this is your first year at SCS, we will connect you with a New Family Ambassador to walk with you through the first year. You can expect: a welcome message and ongoing check ins, invites to events, etc.

You can find answers to most of your questions about daily life at SCS in our Back to School Guide. Your presence makes a difference, and students notice. While some volunteer opportunities will be shared with you directly from teachers (field trips, lunch or recess duty), many of the volunteer opportunities will be shared by our Engagement Team (events, hospitality, faculty support). We dream of having 100% of SCS families engaged with our school every year. See the Engagement Team’s missions statement below:

How do you inform the school that your child will be absent?
You can call the office at 920-458-9981. If it is before school hours, you can leave a message. You can also send an email to . Please include your teacher in the email.
What are B1 groups?
Student led community building groups made up of students Kindergarten-8th grade. The groups get together weekly to pray, worship, do activities or participate in community service projects.
How do we get report cards?
Report cards will be sent out via email within 48 hours of each of the following dates: October 28, January 15, March 17, and June 2.
Where can we find items our children left at school?
The front office organizes the lost and found. In addition, there will be tables outside of each grade level pod with items.
Does school host conferences and do I need to sign up?
Conferences will be hosted on November 5, 2026. There will be a sign up that comes out a couple weeks prior with the teacher’s availability. All signups are done electronically. You will be able to see all the times for teachers when signing up and will then coordinate with your own schedule.
How do we sign up for milk?
You do not need to sign up for milk. Free milk is available for all students.
What is MAPS testing?
Measures of Academic Progress (or MAPS) testing is a digital test for grades 1-8 taken on a Chromebook. The test is typically taken three times per year in fall, winter, and spring. These results help provide a picture of your child’s academic readiness. Teachers can then use the information to tailor classroom lessons to meet the students’ needs.
Is there a way to email teachers directly?
Yes. If you go to the directory in the app, you can select just staff, find the teacher, and click on their email address. You can also access the staff directory here.
What extra curriculars are available for my student?
Extra curriculars are ever-changing and evolving at school. School does its best to provide as many types of clubs and sport opportunities as possible. For the most up-to-date information, check the website and look for new opportunities in the weekly newsletters.
Is there a directory of the SCS families?
Yes! On the app, you can access the directory where you can search by grade level to see a listing of the students and contact information. You can also search by staff to find contact information for our faculty and staff.
