Additional School Counselor Joining the SCS Team!

Join us in congratulating Betsy Warmus!

Betsy Warmus has joined our Counseling team as a School Counselor.

Betsy was born in Sheboygan and had the joy of attending Sheboygan County Christian High School, where she met her husband John Warmus. John and Betsy have been married for 12 years, and recognize their time at SCCHS as pivotal in forming their Christian faith both individually and as a family. They have three daughters: Natalie (7), Grace (5), and Sophie (3), who are more often identified by their hair colors than by their names! All three girls attend SCS this year; Sophie was delighted to finally join the school-crew by starting 3K!

Betsy is a member at Hope Reformed Church, where she co-directed a community meal for 10 years, and now leads the Children’s Worship team. John and Betsy are leaders at Camp Calvin, a summer camp ministry available to students entering 4th – 9th grades. Betsy loves a good clearance or thrifting find, as well as any chance at traveling or spending time with family and friends. Literally: people are her favorite hobby!

Betsy has a Bachelors of Social Welfare and has worked in family resource centers and community agencies throughout her career. She is forever grateful for her part-time jobs that have allowed her to be home as much as possible with a young family. As her kids continue to grow, Betsy has felt the nudge to grow in new ways as well!

Betsy is thrilled to be a part of the SCS team. She has taught Marriage and Family over the past few years, but is very excited to be on campus in this new capacity. She says, “The energy and enthusiasm our staff feel for instilling a Biblical worldview in our students while offering them an excellent education is contagious.” Betsy is most looking forward to partnering with students to recognize their value as creations in Christ who are called to seek and live out their purpose in His world. Partnering with families and staff to best serve our student body brings that support full circle. Betsy believes whole-heartedly in the SCS mission, in the community God brings together to work towards it, and the immeasurable impact our efforts will have for good in this world.
