High School Clubs
Fall/2026 Student Clubs and Activities
Attention FRESHMAN: Do you love planning events? Are you looking for leadership opportunities in high school? Do you enjoy working as a part of a team? If so, then we highly encourage you to apply for Student Council! We are seeking two freshmen to join our team this year. Applications can be picked by from Mr. Hendrikse or Mrs. Hildebrand as of Monday 8/24. Applications are DUE 9/1 and elections will be held Wednesday 9/2. Please prepare a brief campaign speech for your classmates (2-3 min). See Mr. Hendrikse or Mrs. Hildebrand with questions.

Jazz Band is an after school ensemble open to any student who already plays an instrument to explore the genre of jazz (this includes all band/orchestra instruments, piano, guitar, bass, drum set). We meet on Thursdays after school until 4:15 in the instrumental room beginning on 8/27. We perform at the high school Christmas concert, Solo and Ensemble, and the HS Spring concert. If you’re interested, please talk to Mrs. Garside or come on 8/27!
Spirit Club is a student group focused on creating and spreading positivity among our high schoolers! We meet on Wednesday’s during lunch in Room 701 to discuss ideas, plan themes for games, and support initiatives that build positive culture in our school community.
Spirit Club will have our first meeting for this school year on Wednesday, August 26 during the high school lunch period. All are welcome to join!
Chamber Choir is a choral ensemble made up of the highest level of singers in grades 9-12. The group meets once weekly from 7:00-7:40 a.m. on a morning to be determined by the ensemble. The group performs for all scheduled high school concerts with additional performance opportunities available. Auditions are open to all students and will be held August 20-27 after school. Every Tuesday, our high school gathers for student-led musical worship. Students on the chapel team lead as needed (typically every 4-6 weeks). Practices are held before school on Tuesdays at 6:45 a.m. We’d love to have you join us if you sing, play piano, guitar, bass, or drums, or are interested in helping with sound or slides. If you’re interested, talk to Mr. De Jong!
Join FBLA to develop leadership, communication, and industry skills that will prepare you for a career. We meet twice a month, host a community event, manage the school snack vending machine, and encourage each other with our individual industry topics. See Mrs. Hildebrand for more information!
