Grandparents / Grand Friends Day 2026 Highlights

SCS recently welcomed over 400 grandparents and grand friends to SCS to celebrate our annual Grandparents Day.

After pre-registration, visitors could park on campus or arrive via a special trolley shuttle. A “high five tunnel” and raucous applause greeted grandparents into the building. Grandparents of K-5 students visited their grandkids in class, and worshipped together with the entire school. Grandparents of middle and high school students, had coffee with their grandkids, visited classrooms, and also participated in the all-school worship.

After the event, we asked Grandparents and grand friends to tell us what they thought of the day. Here are a few of their responses:

Everyone did a great job, including those behind the scenes to make the event a pleasant experience for the grandparents. It was nice meeting some of the teachers and seeing the new classrooms.

I think, this was one of the best, if not the best Grandparents’ Day we have had over the years in different schools.

Excellent as always, we have been so blessed from SCS and it is sad that this is our last Grandparent day because our last grandchild is graduating. Wonderful memories.

We have our deep appreciation for the amazing work you do at SCS. Thank you for helping us continue our family commitment to Christian Education. It was a blessing to be there.
