Girls Varsity Basketball: 2nd Ranked Academic All State Team!

The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently announced their annual Academic All-State honors. We are thrilled to share that, for Division 5 Girls Basketball, Sheboygan Christian School was ranked 2nd in the state!

With a team GPA of a whopping 3.914, the eagles earned second place in Wisconsin’s entire 5th division- a group that includes 128 schools. SCS edged out a two-way tie with Webster and Valley Christian (3.906) and narrowly missed the first place ranking (Wild Rose) with a 3.928.

The criteria that the WBCA uses requires coaches to nominate their team and report the cumulative credits attempted and Grade Point Average by the top ten varsity players.

Not surprisingly, on a team that has been recognized for their academics, the list of individual Academic All State players is equally as impressive. The SCS Girls Basketball players who earned Academic All-State recognition include: Keeran Blattner, Gabbi Bulkow, Amie Burgard, Brielle Claerbaut, Addison DeBley, Naomi Doss, Lilly Grasse, Isabel Otte, Sofia Rodriguez, Madelyn VanDenend, Samantha Veldkamp, and Maria Zylstra.

Congratulations to the team and to the individual student athletes on being leaders on the court and in the classroom! We are proud of you and your accomplishments!
