SCS All School Talent Show
Join us for our 3rd annual All School Talent Show on November 5!
We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our 3rd annual All School (3k-12th grade) Talent Show on Friday, November 5 at 6:30pm! This event has been one of the favorites of the school year. Students are invited to submit a talent and try out, with the chance to perform in front of the entire SCS community! Families, neighbors and friends come to enjoy close to 25 talents while celebrating the gifts God has given our students and the boldness our students had to share their gifts and talents with others.
This year, 8 acts will be selected from preschool/elementary school, 8 acts from middle school, and 8 acts from high school. In previous years, we had talents ranging from ballet, piano, gymnastics, lip-sync, art, singing, comedy, guitar, how to build a birdhouse, acting, dance, magic tricks and more. We will ensure that all acts are God-honoring and age appropriate through tryouts.
What does this all entail? See below for more on Talent Submissions, Talent Tryouts, Talent Practices, and the Talent Show!
Talent Show Submissions
Submissions Due October 11
3k-12th grade students are invited and encouraged to submit a talent for our all school talent show. Individual acts or groups acts can be submitted. If the student would like to invite a family member, piano instructor, or teacher to help with their act, that is perfectly fine.
Acts have to be under 4 minutes long, appropriate, and God-honoring. Click here to submit your act today!
Tryout information is in the section below. As a reminder, 8 acts will be selected from preschool/elementary school, 8 acts from middle school, and 8 acts from high school.
Talent Show Tryouts
Tryouts are from October 18-20
Shortly after the October 11 submission date, we will reach out to all who submitted talents to schedule a tryout. Tryouts will take place after school that week (and additional times as needed). The tryout is a requirement and will help us determine the 8 acts selected for preschool/elementary school, 8 acts for middle school, and 8 acts for high school. It also helps us ensure that acts are appropriate and God-honoring.
Talent Show Practices
Practices take place after school on November 5
Shortly after acts have been selected for the talent show, we will reach out to schedule a “Day Of Practice.” A practice the day of helps with jitters/nerves, and ensures that equipment, sound and staging is squared away for each act.
The Talent Show is at 6:30pm on November 5
The night we’ve all been waiting for! The night begins at 6:30pm and will be located in our new gymnasium. It will last approximately 1.5 hours.
Guests should prepare to laugh, cry, drop their jaws, enjoy some treats and have a great evening together! Save some room for refreshments, snacks and dessert that will be available throughout the evening.
