Mrs. Palmer Steps into New Role at SCS
We are pleased to share that Mrs. Jessica Palmer has agreed to step into the role of Physical Education Teacher for our elementary students. After 3 years as a substitute teacher, and then elementary interventionist, she is moving into this new role. We recently asked Jessica a few questions as she reflects on this new way to serve at SCS.
- Why do you love working at Sheboygan Christian School?
- I love working at SCS because I want to help students learn more about God and how to use their God-given gifts to serve others. I love that I get to incorporate God’s word while working with the students in the classroom, recess, or lunchroom. Also, it is an honor to get to work alongside an amazing group of teachers and staff!
- Why are you excited about this position?
- I am excited to share my passion and education in physical activity and exercise to teach students the importance of physical fitness. I want students to see the value in being active and healthy and the role that has in taking care of the body God has given them.
Jessica and her husband, Doug, moved to the Sheboygan area 6 years ago from Ohio. They have 3 daughters- Makenzie (9), Savannah (7), and Brooklyn (4). They both grew up in Christian homes and raising their daughters in a Christian home and school is a top priority.
Jessica received a Master’s degree in exercise physiology from The Ohio State University. She worked for The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for 10 years before moving to Sheboygan Falls.
Since moving, Jessica focused on taking care of their daughters and working in various roles at SCS. Jessica loves working with the students and helping them learn more about God and how they can use their God-given gifts to serve others. Jessica is a member and volunteers at Word of Grace Church. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family, be active outside, and explore Wisconsin.
