History & Leadership

They shall proclaim His righteousness unto a people yet unborn – for He has done it!”
-Psalm 22:31

A History of God’s Faithfulness

Nearly 125 years ago, a small group of immigrants from the Netherlands started Sheboygan Christian elementary school. They had a vision for Christian education and trusted in the words of Psalm 22:31- that future generations- yet unborn!- would serve the Lord through this school for years into the future.

Through the founding of Sheboygan County Christian High School in the late ’60’s, the merging of the two sister schools in 2015, and a brand new state of the art unified P-12 campus in 2021, the future for SCS has never been brighter. Today, our school community is much bigger and much more diverse than our founding- but we are all spiritual descendants that our founders prayed for! We are honored that God is using us in this generation to continue the same world-changing mission that we’ve had since our founding.

Start Date: 2023

Education: Bachelor’s in Sports Management & Masters in Business Administration at Concordia University Wisconsin

Bio:

Jason comes from Winona, MN, where he spent his formative years. Jason’s faith was nurtured while he grew up in the church and at an LCMS school from Kindergarten – 12th grade. He continued for 6 years at Concordia University Wisconsin. Spending time with his loved ones, his mother, Sheryl, and his two sisters, Olivia and Christine, brings him great joy.

Jason is passionate about athletics, and is always involved in sports-related endeavors. He enjoys golfing, and many may note his familiar cry of “Fore!” often accompanying his swings. Beyond the fairways, Jason dons the hat of a podcast host. His show, “Jaytime,” serves as a platform for engaging dialogues with professionals from diverse industries, delving into their career trajectories. Notably, he featured Jim Paschke, a hall of fame broadcaster renowned for his association with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jason also established “Authentic Hoops,” a basketball training enterprise. A recent highlight in this venture was a single-day camp that drew in 130 enthusiastic campers.

Beneath these professional accomplishments lies a profound purpose. Guided by the legacy of his late father, Tim, who tragically passed away to a sudden heart attack a few years prior, Jason is resolute in dedicating his life to uplifting others. He is very excited to embrace the mission of SCS by empowering the student body to recognize their inherent value and potential, much like the salt of the earth.

John Warmus

John Warmus

Director of Advancement & Finance

John WarmusGraduate 2004

Director of Advancement & Finance

Education: Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government, UW – Milwaukee
MBA in Project Management, Lakeland University

Bio:

John has spent more years roaming the halls of Sheboygan Christian School than any student should…. he started at SCS as a 4K-er and graduated (not top of his class) in 2004. He loved growing up within the Sheboygan Christian School community. He has fond memories of walking to school with his siblings and neighborhood classmates. After SCS, he attended UW-Milwaukee and graduated with the world’s longest (and least useful) degree title; ask him to rattle it off next time you see him!

His greatest “win” in life was marrying Betsy. They recently celebrated our tenth anniversary. Betsy and John have three daughters whose personalities are as different as their hair colors. Natalie (5), Grace (3), and Sophie (1) provide an endless supply of entertainment and busyness. His favorite hobby is spending quality time with his family and friends. His family attends Hope Reformed Church. Another ‘hobby’ and major source of joy for him has been his service to and the community around Camp Calvin. Camp has been a part of his life for 24 years.

He feels blessed to be in his role at Sheboygan Christian School.
