Employment Information: I am a financial advisor and I run a financial planning practice of 20 years, called Third Coast Financial Consultants – Thrivent Financial here in Sheboygan.

Church/School Activities you are or have been involved with: I have served as the chair of the One Walk committee for SCS for the past 6 years.  I have served as elder of my church, board member for Oostburg Christian School, and I serve on the Charger Shootout Committee for OCS.

What do you like most about SCS? I am entrusting the education of my children to teachers and administers who love and serve their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I appreciate that SCS puts Christ at the forefront in each class that is taught there.  I also appreciate the fact that I know that my children can speak openly about their faith and that they are supported in prayer by their peers and leaders there.

Why did your family choose SCS over other schools? Although our children have received their elementary education from Oostburg Christian School, we were very interested in the fact that SCS provides our county with an option for our high school age students to receive Christian Education.  We felt that SCS provided the tools and support needed to grow in their Christian faith as well as learn the tools necessary to prepare them for their college education.

What do you think is the most important goal for SCS? To continue to maintain the strong Christian principles that the school is rooted in while at the same time providing excellent academics.

Why did you accept to be nominated for the School Board? I accepted this nomination as we have 5 children coming through this school over the next 12 years.  With that being said, it is important to us to be active and involved in any school we entrust our children’s education and spiritual growth to.  I am excited about the opportunity this school has to impact our children and our entire county, then as we send them out, to impact the world.
