New Middle School Interventionist

Join us in welcoming Corrina Torrenga!

We are excited to announce that Corrina Torrenga has joined the SCS team as our new Middle School Interventionist!

Corrina graduated from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN with majors in Secondary Mathematics Education and Bible. It was at Northwestern that Corrina met her husband, Brent. Upon graduation, the two married and both began their education careers teaching at Heritage Christian School in West Allis, Wisconsin. With the arrival of their first child, Corrina stepped away from teaching to care for a growing family, but in subsequent years took up teaching again in the form of homeschooling!

Corrina has homeschooled her four children (Brent Jr., Brynn, Braden and Benjamin) for the past twelve years, across every grade level and every subject… her favorite being math of course! Brent and Corrina are now down to the two youngest boys still living at home where Braden is a sophomore at SCS and Ben is a 7th grader at Oostburg Christian School.

Corrina and Brent are committed to Christian education, but both believe that a strong, biblical education starts in the home. Corrina is excited to use her gifts and talents in the classroom to help students better understand math, and more importantly to assist parents in fulfilling their God-given responsibility to teach and train their children in the Lord.

In her free time, Corrina loves spending time with her kids – often on a baseball or softball diamond or watching Star Wars movies. She enjoys being outside, being with family, and spending time studying God’s Word. Her favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21, “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”
