Career Resources

Whether you are joining the workforce right after high school or after getting your college degree, exploring career options while in high school is important. There are many components that are involved in obtaining your dream career. Some of these components include job searching, completing job applications, writing resumes and developing employability skills. On this page, you will find some resources to assist you in this process. Remember, Mrs. Ege is also a good resource if you have questions!

Job Shadow

Job shadowing can be a great way to explore different careers and see what it's like to spend a day working that job. It can also be a great opportunity to ask important questions and find out more information to help you decide on a career. All Juniors will participate in a "Job Shadow Day" in April. But Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to job shadow different careers throughout their high school career.

For those interested in job shadowing someone in the healthcare field, they must participate in a Lakeshore Health Care Alliance (LSHCA) Career Experience Event. They must also get a flu shot and may need some other vaccines before they can job shadow. For more information on this please click here!
