Scholarship | Discipleship | Citizenship
SCHOLARSHIP | DISCIPLESHIP | CITIZENSHIP
These three words summarize everything that we do here at Sheboygan Christian School. They mirror our Mission Statement which says, "In partnership with the Christian community, Sheboygan Christian School uses a biblical perspective to integrate academic excellence with Christ-centered learning (SCHOLARSHIP) , preparing students’ hearts and minds (DISCIPLESHIP) for service in God’s world (CITIZENSHIP)."
Sheboygan Christian School is an outstanding school. Born out of the unification of two Christian schools, SCS serves students from grades PK through 12. Our academic programs offer a rigorous academic continuum with standards-based goals from PreK to 12. At SCS, students are encouraged to discover and refine their gifts in all subject areas, while they prepare for college/career readiness and their calling. Academic content is integrated with scripture and Christian worldview. Students learn inside and outside of the classroom, not only about God’s world, but how to analyze, think, and creatively solve problems in the world.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15
Sheboygan Christian School fosters the development of Christian disciples. Our dedicated, professional faculty and staff teaches and models what it looks like to have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Through rigorous worldview training, Bible study, authentic worship, and focused service learning, SCS students are given the tools to live their faith and to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Discipleship demands action. SCS intentionally builds up Christian leadership, so students will impact the world for Jesus Christ.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. - Matthew 28:19-20
As Christians, we are dual citizens. While heaven is our ultimate home, God has called us to the work of transforming and serving his kingdom here on earth. That starts right here in Sheboygan and extends to the ends of the earth. Our students learn what it means to be a citizen of heaven, as well as what it means to be a world-changing global citizen on earth.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. - Philippians 3:20
