PREPARING FOR THE 2010/2011 SCHOOL YEAR
1. The Sheboygan Christian School board wants to make you aware of a situation that could impact our administrator, SCS and Sheboygan County Christian High School (SCCHS). As some of you are aware, SCCHS’s administrator, Wayne Dykstra, has accepted a position in Iowa. SCCHS’s board has approached SCS’s board to ask permission to engage in conversation with our administrator, Corey Navis, over the possibility of him administrating both schools. Corey would potentially be the full-time K – 12 administrator. The SCS board has allowed these conversations to take place and looks forward to being able to communicate to its families how this is being resolved. Please direct any questions or comments to Principal Navis or Chad Black, school board president (cblack@sheboyganchristian.com).
2. We have been greatly blessed at SCS with the current staff of teachers. All current teachers have been issued a teacher contract for the 2010-2011 school year. As they contemplate God’s leading on their lives over the next few weeks, we ask that you lift the teachers up in prayers.
SCHOOL NEWS
1. There will be NO SCHOOL or extended care this Friday, March 12. This is a Wisconsin Christian School’s teacher in-service day at Delavan Christian.

The Texas Roadhouse offershand-cut steaks, award winning ribs, fresh-baked bread and made from scratch side items. They combine large portions and great value to give you legendary food at a reasonable price.

After this week, there will be only three more issues of the blue note sent out in hard copy at school. If have an email address, but are not currently receiving the blue note via email, please contact the school office at 457-3060, or by email at crasmussen@sheboyganchristian.com so we can add your email address to our distribution list. If you do not have access to email, you also need to contact the school office so that we can create a hard copy for your child to bring home. The weekly blue note is also posted on the school website.
8. Hats, mittens, boots, sweatshirts: If you are missing any of these items they could be in the school’s Lost and Found closet. We are overflowing with lost items that need to be claimed. Please stop in the school office to find your missing items. Anything left at the start of Spring Break will be given away or sold.
9. Going, going, almost gone.... There are a few Sheboygan Christian School 10 inch apple pies left for sale. Stop in the school office to purchase them.
10. The boards of Oostburg Christian School, Sheboygan Christian School, and Sheboygan County Christian High School are taking part in a study investigating the possibility of forming an association of one school system. You can continue to keep abreast of the task force’s progress by accessing the school website and clicking the link under “What’s New” labeled Tri-School Task Force Web Page. On this page will be minutes, questions for interested constituents and other information of interest to this task. The site has been recently updated; anyone should be able to post questions or comments to the discussion. In order to post, you will be prompted to provide a sign-in name and password. Contact the school office if you have questions about accessing or posting comments on this site.
