Teddy Bear Day
The first graders celebrated Teddy Bear Day in late October. We had a “beary” special day doing things the Teddy Bear way! We each got to bring in a plush stuffed friend to spend the day with us. We completed a Teddy Bear booklet and made our own paper Teddy Bears too. We learned about Teddy Roosevelt and read the book The First Teddy Bear by Helen Kay. We got to eat lunch with our special friends and even took them outside to play with us at recess time. We finished our special day off in style with a “beary” special bear cupcake and juice. It was “beary” good!
